Rock Hall’s 2024 New Inductee Exhibit opens on Friday

CLEVELAND (WJW) – We are just a little over a week away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cleveland.

On Friday, the 2024 New Inductee Exhibit will open to the public.

FOX 8 got a first look at the Rock Hall’s exhibit that celebrates the inductees — music’s highest honor.

“This year there is such a diverse class. There’s 16 inductees and the exhibit reflects that,” said Andy Leach, senior director of museum archival and collections.

The exhibit features artifacts and memorabilia associated with this year’s inductees, which include Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Ozzy Osbourne and others.

Leach said they started curating the exhibit as soon as the inductees were announced back in May.

“It takes a few months for those people to gather what they want to send us. We ship it here and do the layouts up until the last minute,” said Leach.

The exhibit is just the start of a week of events at the Rock Hall. Sunday is Celebration Day, which is free to any Ohio resident.

This all leads up to the big show at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Saturday, Oct. 19.
