Man charged in three gruesome murders found guilty

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WJW) – A Summit County jury returned a guilty verdict on Friday for a Copley man charged in the gruesome murders of three men.

Elias Gudino, 58, faced 18 charges, including aggravated murder and kidnapping for the killings of three men from Youngstown.

The bodies of Inmer Reyes, 25, Victor Varela-Rodriguez, 31, and Domingo Castillo-Reyes were found on March 9, 2023.

A fourth victim who survived told police he was also kidnapped from the Youngstown area along with the three other men.

He said he pretended to be dead until his kidnappers drove away and testified against Gudino.

Police believe other suspects were involved in the killings but have made no other arrests.
