TRACKING: Will it stay dry for the Guardians game?

(WJW) — The Guardians take on the Tigers in Game 5 of ALDS at Progressive Field on Saturday. The first pitch time has been changed from 8:08PM to 1:08PM. With temperatures in the 60s, make sure to wear your favorite Guardians jacket or sweatshirt. Rain will likely not impact the game. Let’s go Guards!!!

The weekend will not be as sunny and dry as the workweek. A slowing-moving cold front hangs in Northeast Ohio today. This front is the focal point for a few rounds of rain showers and a rumble of thunder Saturday night into Sunday morning. Most daytime hours look quiet and mild with temperatures in the upper 60s Saturday and low 60s Sunday. This weekend will be far from a washout. Outside of a few spotty rain showers, Saturday morning and early afternoon will be mostly dry.

Rain will increase after midnight on Saturday, and rain will be likely through Sunday afternoon. The coverage of rain will be much lower Sunday afternoon/evening. A bulk of the second half of Sunday will be dry. Much of the rain depends on the placement of the stalled cold front.

This active stretch of weather continues through early next week. On-and-off rain showers will be likely.

The coolest high temperatures so far this early fall season will be recorded early next week. Highs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will only be in the 50s! Temperatures will start to warm back up by the end of the workweek. Temperatures will be slightly above normal by next Thursday and Friday.
