Rain chances Sunday; coolest air of the season follows

(WJW) — The coverage of rain will go down Sunday afternoon, but the second half of Sunday will not be completely dry. Scattered rain showers will continue Sunday afternoon/evening. Highs will be in the low to mid 60s.

The coolest air of the fall season so far will pour into Northeast Ohio Sunday night into Monday. Highs on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be in the 50s, which is well below normal for the middle of October. Lows will be in the 30s and 40s every night next week. The threat of frost could return Wednesday night and Thursday night.

The north to northwest winds will continue to bring the chilly fall air over a relatively warm Lake Erie. This will trigger on-and-off lake effect rain showers early next week.
