    Man stabbed during attempted robbery near downtown Cleveland

    CLEVELAND (WJW) — Cleveland police are investigating after a man was stabbed Monday night during an attempted robbery.

    According to police, officers responded to the 3800 block of Prospect Avenue around 11 p.m. for reports of a stabbing.

    At the scene, police found a 26-year-old man with stab wounds. According to police, it appeared the man was the victim of an attempted robbery, and was “assaulted by multiple males.”

    The man was taken to a hospital for treatment.

    The case is under investigation.
