    The cold is here: Graupel spotted in NE Ohio

    CLEVELAND (WJW) – This chilly stretch of fall weather led to graupel falling in Northeast Ohio Tuesday morning.

    Traffic alert: All lanes on I-71 S closed due to crash

    Many Fox 8 News viewers caught the graupel on camera in places including Parma, Lorain and Elyria. Check out the photos they shared:

    According to the National Weather Service , graupel is a type of frozen precipitation that is also known as snow pellets or soft hail.
