Sunshine and comfortable temps: Freeze advisory ahead

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Friday will be the pick day of the workweek! Friday afternoon will be sunny and seasonable. Highs on Friday will be in the mid to upper 60s.

The National Weather Service issued a frost advisory that will go into effect Saturday from 2 a.m. – 9 a.m. for Ashtabula, Geauga, Mahoning, Portage, Stark, Summit and Trumbull Counties

It is going to be a great night for October baseball in downtown Cleveland. The Guardians will take on the Yankees at Progressive Field Friday evening.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. Temperatures will be in the 50s throughout the game, so make sure to wear your favorite Guardians jacket or sweatshirt if you are going to the game.

Game 5 of the ALCS will be played on Saturday.

The weather also could not look any better for week 8 of high school football across Northeast Ohio. Temperatures be in the upper 40s for the final down of some of the games. Here’s a look at the forecast for some of the games across Northeast Ohio.

Friday night will be another chilly fall night.

The best word to describe the weather this weekend is FALL-tastic! Highs on Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees. Plus, there will be no shortage of sunshine. The weather looks great for all the fall events and activities this weekend.

Temperatures will quickly warm through the 40s and 50s Sunday morning for anyone tailgating before the Browns game. The kickoff temperature will be near 68 degrees.

The warming trend will continue into early next week! The warmest days in the 8-Day Forecast will be Monday and Tuesday. Highs early next week will be in the lower to mid-70s, which is about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
