Guardians watch parties set for ALCS games 4 and 5

CLEVELAND (WJW) — Fans who don’t plan on going to games 4 or 5 of the American League Championship Series at Progressive Field on Friday and Saturday don’t have to miss out.

The game will be playing on large screens during free watch parties in Gateway Plaza, just west of the stadium.

The parties also feature a DJ and host, a live band, photo opportunities and fan giveaways between innings.

Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Tickets for the watch party are not required.

The first pitch of Game 4 is at 8:08 p.m. on Friday. The game is sold out, the Guardians announced on Friday afternoon.

Game 5 starts at the same time on Saturday. As of Friday afternoon, a limited number of seats were still available, according to the team. Tickets are available on the Guardians’ website .

The Cleveland Guardians pulled off a stunning 7-5 win against the New York Yankees in the 10th inning of Game 3 on Thursday night. The Yankees lead the series 2-1.

Game 6 will go back to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx on Monday, Oct. 21, with the first pitch at 5:08 p.m.

If the New York Mets or the Los Angeles Dodgers have become National League champs by this point in the schedule, Game 6 will move to 7:38 p.m.

Game 7, the following Tuesday, Oct. 22, gets underway at 7:38 p.m.

The first team to win four games takes the championship, so games 5, 6 and 7 may not be necessary.
