Flirting with 80°: How long warm temperatures last

(WJW) – The warm fall weather will continue for the start of the workweek.

Highs on Monday will be in the mid to upper 70s. A few places will even flirt with 80°.

Despite highs being 15+ degrees above normal, record warmth is not expected on Monday. The average high on October 21 in Cleveland is 62°.

Here’s a look at the forecast highs compared to the daily record highs for October 21:

Tuesday will be another unseasonably warm day. Highs on Tuesday will once again be in the mid to upper 70s. Wednesday will be our last warm fall day before changes arrive.

A cold front will slide through Northeast Ohio late Wednesday into Wednesday night. There is a small chance for a shower but most areas stay dry.

Highs on Thursday will only be in the mid to upper 50s.

Temperatures will gradually start to warm Friday through next weekend. Overall, rain looks like it is going to remain limited across Northeast Ohio over the next 8 days.
