BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Boardman trustees Monday evening agreed to allow a Cincinnati company — Pivotal Housing Partners — to continue building senior living apartments now that the company has agreed to a remediation plan.

The apartments are being built on South Avenue , across from Rulli Brothers.

Two weeks ago, Boardman zoning director T.J. Keiran stopped construction after Pivotal violated removed trees and graded areas that should have been left natural and was found to be in violation of storm water regulations.

But the company has agreed to fix the problems, and the “stop work” order has been lifted.

“We were able to determine that there was 200 caliper-worth of trees that had been removed. Their plan has 300 calipers-worth of trees,” Keiran said.

Some white pines will be planted that will mature at 75 feet. There will also be a combination of hardwood trees and shrubs, all native to the area.

Pivotal Partners also fired the construction company working on the project and hired a new one.
