WELLSVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – Wellsville Local School District has hired a new superintendent replacing Richard Bereschik who is retiring after 50 years as an educator.

The district hired previously retired David Cappuzzello, a former superintendent in Austintown and Girard, to a three-year contract.

Cappuzzello has 35 years in education and will be paid a $112,000 annual salary.

He says he retired and “took some time” but believes he “still has some left in the tank and can help the school.”

Cappuzzello will start his new position August 1st.
