Toth and Canfield move onto regional final

MACEDONIA, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield continued to play winning softball in its Division II Regional Semifinal game against Aurora, 12-2.

The Cardinals scored 11 runs over the course of the final three innings.

Malena Toth was masterful again in the circle by earning her 18th win and tossing a four-hitter.

Toth also provided a double and a single with 2 RBIs at the plate.

Jenna Triveri, Sydney Lutz, Macey Kalina and Leah Figueroa all added a pair of base hits as well.

The Cardinals (24-3) will now be matched against Buckeye on Friday in the regional final round at Nordonia High School (1 pm). The Bucks got by Tallmadge, 4-1, this evening.
