West Middlesex wins third straight district title

MEADVILLE, Pa (WKBN) – West Middlesex baseball wins the District 10 Class 1A Championship over Saegertown 7-4, Monday at Allegheny College in Meadville.

This win gives West Middlesex the school’s third consecutive District 10 Class 1A title.

The Big Reds offense had 10 hits in the game with 4 runs coming in the 2nd inning.

West Middlesex pitcher Kyle Gilson tossed a complete game striking out 10 batters in the win. Gilson also recorded 2 hits with 1 run batted in.

The Big Red’s Bowen Briggs and David Latakos both drove in 2 runs each in the win.

West Middlesex will play next in the PIAA 1A Championship First Round Monday, June 3.
