Man charged with felonious assault in Niles bar fight

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) — An Orwell man has been charged with felonious assault stemming from a bar fight in Niles last Wednesday.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police responded to a Niles bar for reports of a fight outside in the parking lot.

Witnesses say the fight stemmed from a man, identified as Colton Fisher, causing a disturbance inside the bar. When police arrived, Fisher attempted to run from them, reports state.

A victim was found bleeding from the head on the ground, according to a police report. The victim was assisting in escorting Fisher out of the bar when Fisher struck the victim, causing them to lose consciousness for about five minutes, according to the report.

Fisher’s bond was set at $250,000.
