Driver in custody after multiple county police chase

LIBERTY TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – One person is in custody Thursday morning after a police chase through multiple communities.

Troopers said the chase started in Liberty and that it ended just before midnight in Canfield near Shields Road and Dorado Beach Drive.

The Mahoning Valley Drug Task Force made the arrest, according to troopers. The Task Force was assisted by the Liberty Township Police Department and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

WKBN is still working to find out why officers were chasing the car and if there are any other suspects in the case.
