YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said a helicopter from the Ohio State Highway Patrol helped police late Wednesday track and arrest a man who failed to pull over for a traffic violation.

Tillman Douglas III, 34, was booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; possession of fentanyl, a fifth-degree felony; and obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor.

He is expected to be arraigned Friday in municipal court.

Reports said Douglas was driving at about 10 p.m. at Southern Boulevard and East Lucius Avenue when police tried to pull him over because the vehicle only had one headlight.

The car failed to stop and was traveling at 70 miles per hour, reports said. The officers backed off and a helicopter took over, tracking the car to the 800 block of Palmer Avenue, where the driver bailed out and began running.

The helicopter tracked the driver while he was running and police were able to arrest him on Roxbury Avenue, reports said.

Reports said a bag of fentanyl was found in the car when police searched it.
