YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A West Side man was arrested Wednesday on a charge of felonious assault after reports said he damaged a man’s eye when they argued over trading cards.

Stephen Zitello, 33, is expected to be arraigned on the charge, a second-degree felony, Friday in municipal court.

Zitello was arrested around 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Halls Heights, a day after a man made a police report and told officers Zitello punched him in the eye after the man went to Zitello’s home to buy some trading cards.

Reports said the victim told police some of the cards were fake and he tried to give them back and Zitello would not take them. The victim was walking back to his car when Zitello punched him in the eye, reports said.

Reports said the man drove himself to the emergency room at St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was told the punch damaged his eye and he needed to see a specialist.

Zitello was arrested on warrants for felonious assault and a probation violation. He is presently in the Mahoning County Jail.
