Janay Corbitt, 36, of Dayton, was arrested Thursday at a bus station in Dallas, according to Ohio Attorney General David Yost.

Multiple state and local authorities worked to bring Corbitt into custody. She will be extradited to Ohio.

Corbitt was indicted May 14 by a Franklin County grand jury on eight felony charges, including engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, aggravated theft and identity fraud against a person of a protected class.

A warrant was issued for Corbitt following her indictment.

Attorney General David Yost said Corbitt stole the identities of several people so she could open and operate two sham behavioral health counseling agencies in the Dayton area.

She is also accused of stealing the identities of several licensed counselors and using their credentials to bill Medicaid for services that were never provided.

Corbitt was convicted in 2019 in a separate Medicaid scheme where she was ordered to pay back $204,412 but has only paid $6,255, according to Yost.
