Youngstown gathers for Pickle Palooza at Penguin City

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The second annual Youngstown Pickle Palooza took place from noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday at Penguin City Brewing Company.

Pickle enthusiasts could indulge in everything from pickle drinks to pickleball at the event.

Penguin City Beer had its Pickle Dilly Pale Ale on draft throughout the day, and many vendors were selling a variety of pickle flavors from garlic to sweet and spicy.

“We got pickle beef jerky, we got pickle lemonade — you name it. We got pickle beer. So, it’s just incredible, all the different stuff and the way the vendors get involved in all the theme stuff is just awesome,” said Dan Culls with Youngstown Pickle Palooza.

The event also had pickle and hot dog eating contests.
