YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The case against a man accused of stabbing a deputy Mahoning County Dog Warden was dismissed.

A charge of felonious assault was dismissed in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court against Squire Glenn.

Glenn was charged in July 2021 after reports said he stabbed Deputy Dog Warden Dave Nelson at West Myrtle and Oak Hill avenues.

Glenn underwent a mental health evaluation and was deemed incompetent to stand trial. He was treated at a mental health facility and his competency was restored.

Court records do not say why the charge was dismissed, but it was at the request of the Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office.
