YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The ex-wife of a former recovery clinic owner who was embroiled in a federal fraud case was ordered back to prison on a probation violation.

Jennifer Sheridan, the ex-wife of Ryan Sheridan, who was convicted of fraud in connection to the Youngstown-based Braking Point Recovery Center , was in federal court last week for a probation violation hearing.

Jennifer Sheridan was convicted of conspiracy in connection to the 2019 fraud case and was sentenced to 27 months in prison. She was also ordered to pay restitution, along with Ryan Sheridan, of over $15 million.

Jennifer Sheridan was released from prison in April 2022 and was on probation when her probation officer reported that she missed several restitution payments, opened a line credit in her name that was not allowed and was arrested in in May 2024 for OVI in Weathersfield Township. Further, the probation hearing uncovered the use of narcotics, according to court documents.

Sheridan was immediately put on house arrest with a GPS monitor and sentenced to 30 days in jail for the probation violation, for which she must self-surrender on Aug. 30.

Her probation was also extended to Dec. 15, 2025.
