Air Force veteran to head up Canfield Fair

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — There is a change at the helm of the Canfield Fair.

Board officials announced Wednesday that Skye Tancer will replace longtime fair manager Bev Fisher when she retires.

Tancer received the rank of Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force before she retired. She also made history as the first female flight engineer at the Youngstown Air Reserve Station in Vienna.

“On behalf of the Board, I thank retiring Fair Manager Bev Fisher for her outstanding years of service and wish her a peaceful and relaxing retirement,” Tancer said.

Tancer also worked as a development officer for the Youngstown State University Foundation and has a bachelor’s degree from YSU. She also is a member of the Junior League of the Mahoning Valley and sits on the board of the Rich Center for Autism.
