HUBBARD TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A large garage was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon in Hubbard Township.

It happened around 4:40 p.m. on Lewis Seifert Road at Brian Cox Quarter Horses, the site of the former Doughton Golf Course.

Eagle Joint Fire District Chief Ron Stanish says the fire was in an outbuilding that housed property maintenance equipment, including lawn care.

Stanish says the building is a total loss.

Firefighters believe the fire started with a lawn tractor.

The smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

    No horses were hurt.
