PennDOT holding job fairs to fill variety of open positions

(WKBN) – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is hiring and it’s holding several job fairs to find the right candidates.

PennDOT is looking to hire transportation equipment operators, diesel and construction equipment mechanics, tradesmen helpers and radio dispatchers. Other positions in the design and construction fields are also open.

There will be four job fairs in the next couple of weeks, including one locally:

• Aug. 28, 1 to 4 p.m. – Venango County Maintenance Facility, 1460 Pittsburgh Rd., Franklin, PA
• Sept. 4, 1 to 4 p.m. – Mercer County Maintenance Facility, 215 Maple St., Mercer, PA
• Sept. 9, 1 to 4 p.m. – Warren County Maintenance Facility, 20745 Route 6, Warren, PA
• Sept. 11, 1 to 4 p.m. – Crawford County Maintenance Facility, 18492 Smock Highway, Meadville, PA

During the job fair, applicants will be able to learn more about the job opportunities and ask any questions they may have. On-the-spot interviews and conditional job offers are possible.

Candidates are encouraged to bring an updated resume and two forms of ID.
