    Over 4,000 Mahoning County residents lost power

    (WKBN) — Over 4,000 Mahoning County residents lost power Friday.

    According to First Energy, over 1,800 customers in Beaver Township and 1,900 in Springfield Township were without power around 11 a.m. Almost 200 New Middletown residents were also experiencing this outage.

    According to a Facebook post by the Beaver Township Police Department, there were several power lines down and crews were on the scene.

    Almost 400 Columbiana County residents in Unity Township were also without power.

    Power was expected to be restored by 1 p.m.

    As of just after 7 p.m., fewer than 20 in the area were still without power.
