YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The final phases of demolition happened Friday on a historic Youngstown restaurant.

You can see the final parts of Torch Club Bar & Grille being torn down in the video player above.

Demolition of the building started July 6 after a fire in the 88-year-old restaurant.

The bar was formerly known as Club Merry-Go-Round.

Youngstown Fire officials told First News the building was demolished for safety. The fire started in the garage in the back of the building and spread to the bar.

It's taken them over a month to complete demolition? They could have built and torn down 10 McDonalds at that location in that time frame 🤣
