Sharon gets 3 TDs off of punts in blowout victor

ERIE, Pa. (WKBN) – The Sharon Tigers showed up in a big way in all three phases of the game Friday night in a 55-6 victory over Mercyhurst Prep.

While the defense only gave up six points, the special teams unit accounted for three touchdowns (two punt blocks for scores and one punt return for a touchdown). Bishop Root’s two touchdowns led the offense.

The Tigers led 55-0 at halftime.

Sharon (1-0) will host Cathedral Prep in week two.
