    Kennedy Catholic state champion commits to next level

    HERMITAGE, Pa . (WKBN) – Kennedy Catholic girls basketball two-time state champion Monique Vincent has committed to continue her academic and athletic career at Seton Hill University.

    The senior made the announcement on social media on Saturday, adding, “I’ve found my next home with Coach Maeve and Seton Hill, I am beyond excited to become a Griffin!”

    As a junior, Vincent averaged 11.3 points per game, 4.4 assists and a team-high 2.8 steals per game, while also leading the team in 3-point (41%) and free throw percentage (79%).

    The point guard has been a key piece of the Golden Eagles’ back-to-back PIAA state championships , including leading the team with 19 points in the state quarterfinals and a 17-point performance in the semis.
