PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pittsburgh Pirates placed pitcher Hunter Stratton on the 60-day injured list with a ruptured left patella tendon. He will miss the rest of the 2024 season.

The team also selected the contract of left-handed pitcher Brady Feigl from Triple-A Indianapolis.

Stratton was injured in Saturday night’s 10-2 loss to the Reds. This season, he posted a record of 2-1 with a 3.58 ERA with one save in 36 appearances.

A 16th-round selection for the Pirates in the 2017 draft, Stratton made his Major League debut last season.

Feigl’s first appearance in a game with Pittsburgh will be his Major League debut. The 33-year old previously pitched in the minor leagues with both the Rangers and Braves.

He signed with the Pirates on a minor league deal back in January.

This season he spent the entire campaign with the Indianapolis Indians. He has appeared in 33 games, posting a record of 7-2 with a 3.83 ERA.
