Mercy Health to host hiring events at local hospitals

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – As local hospitals Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation face closures , Mercy Health is preparing to take on more patients .

The hospital system announced Monday it will host hiring events throughout Mahoning Valley for roles in nursing, nursing support, imaging, surgical tech, surgical assistants, sterile processing techs, lab professionals, respiratory therapists and medical assistants.

The hiring events are “open-house” style meant to give candidates a chance to network with recruiters and managers.

Mercy Health says they are also offering many entry-level positions that could benefit those interested in advancing their healthcare careers. Those individuals also have the opportunity to further their education with a portion of tuition costs covered by Mercy Health’s education benefits.

Other benefits include competitive pay and work-life balance, according to a press release from Mercy Health.

The hiring events will take place at three different locations beginning this week and throughout September.

St. Joseph Warren Hospital:

• August 27, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• August 28, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• August 30, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• September 3, 11 a.m. – 4p.m.
• September 5, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 7, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• September 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 12, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 17, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• September 18, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• September 19, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• September 20, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital

• August 27, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• August 29, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 3, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 5, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 7, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• September 10, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 17, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
• September 20, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital

• August 28, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 4, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
• September 11, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

In addition to the three Mercy Health hospitals in the Mahoning Valley, they also have 52 practice locations such as Warren Minor Emergency Services, Austintown Medical Center and Howland Medical Center.

Mercy Health also has 10 walk-in healthcare sites for patients with non-emergent illnesses.
