WARREN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A woman is facing criminal charges, accused of abandoning animals at a home in Warren Township.

Mackenzie Harvey-Ball is charged with 14 counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals. She was charged after police were called to a home on Ruth Avenue last week.

According to a police report, the home was in deplorable condition.

With the help of Jason Cooke, from the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project, officers removed three adult dogs and a litter of eight puppies from the home. Two dead hampsters and a deceased bearded dragon were also found inside.

According to the report, Harvey-Ball told officers that she wasn’t currently living there but was moving back soon and had been caring for the animals.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges next week.
