Local week 2 high school football game canceled

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – Lisbon High School has announced that this Friday night’s road game at Fairport Harding has been canceled.

Athletic Director Kyle Bing confirmed the cancellation.

According to a release from the school, the Blue Devils team is “working to overcome illness.” It goes on to say that practice has also been suspended for the rest of the week.

“It is our hope that extended rest and recuperation this week will allow our student athletes to take the field next week as regularly scheduled,” school officials wrote in a social media post.

Lisbon is slated to return to action in week three on Friday, Sept. 6 at home against Waterloo.
