Everything you need to know about the Canfield Fair

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) — The 2024 Canfield Fair has begun . It’s Ohio’s largest county fair, and for 178 years, it has been put on by the Mahoning County Agricultural Society.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is the Canfield Fair?

The Canfield Fair is open Aug. 28 – Sept. 2, beginning at 8 a.m. with gates becoming exit-only at 10:30 p.m. Most buildings, vendors and rides close at 10 p.m. each evening.

Rides open each day at about 11 a.m.

How much does the Canfield Fair cost?

The prices for tickets vary by age and day. Below is a list of the Canfield Fair prices:

A three-day pass costs $23, and a six-day pass costs $45.

Parking is free at the fairgrounds.

How much are amusement park rides at the Canfield Fair?

All-day ride bands are $25 Wednesday and Thursday and $30 Friday through Monday. All riders, regardless of age, need a ticket or ride band to ride.

Individual ride ticket prices are posted at the ticket booth windows in the amusement area, and the number of tickets for each ride will vary.

Are there buses for the Canfield Fair?

On Saturday, Sunday and Monday from noon until midnight, there will be buses making continuous loops from the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC). The buses will drop off and pick up at Gate 5.

How does the Canfield Fair accommodate mobility challenges?

Scooters are available for rent at Gate B through a third party, First Choice Mobility. Call them to reserve a scooter or listen to their voicemail for details at 330-637-5278.

Handicapped parking is available at Gate 3 and Gate 9

When is Daughtry at the Canfield Fair? How much are tickets?

Daughtry with special guests Buckcherry and Hinder will perform at the fair on Monday, Sept. 2 at 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased online through Ticketmaster and range from $39-$75+.

When is Brantley Gilbert at the Canfield Fair? How much are tickets?

Brantley Gilbert will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1 as part of his Off the Rails Tour.

Tickets range in price from $39-$99+, according to Ticketmaster .

Grandstand show ticket information and weather events

If you purchase tickets to the grandstand shows, you still must purchase your tickets to enter the fair. Your grandstand tickets will be presented at the grandstand to enter the show.

There is a box office located in front of the Grandstand and is open daily. You can also purchase tickets directly online through Ticketmaster. Mobile ticket holders are encouraged to save their ticket to their mobile wallet before arriving at the Fairgrounds.

Concerts are to be held rain or shine. In the event of unsafe weather, i.e. excessive lighting or high winds a cancellation could occur. In the unlikely event that a cancellation occurs, Ticketmaster refund policies will go into effect.

The following items are not permitted in the grandstand for concerts: professional cameras, recording devices, backpacks/large bags, knives, firearms and weapons of any kind. Wanding and bag checks will be enforced.

What is different at the 2024 Canfield Fair?

After the old pumpkin barn was demolished in the spring, some attractions have been relocated.

• Pumpkins will be located in the Grange Building #4
• Grange Displays will be located in the 4-H Booth Display Building #25
• ODNR will be located in the Hay & Grain, Fruit Building #26
