Local PA football game postponed after student death

SHENANGO TWP., Pa. (WKBN) — Friday night’s varsity high school football game between Shenango and Ellwood City has been postponed following the death of a 17-year-old Shenango student.

Shenango Athletic Director Jan Budai confirmed the postponement to Sports Team 27.

Although no game will be played, Budai said the football team will conduct short practices this week before returning to a full schedule next week.

The Wildcats are slated to return to game action on Friday, Sept. 6 at home against Mohawk.
