WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – The National Packard Museum is celebrating the completion of three capital improvement and enhancement projects, and the museum recognized city leaders and some of the people who worked on the improvements Friday.

The projects included a new asphalt shingle roof on the original wing of the museum, a new digital sign, and landscaping along the museum and around the 1905 Japanese Pagoda, which was relocated from W.D. Packard’s Riverscourt estate to the museum courtyard in 2002.

The projects were paid for with ARPA money provided by the city.

“These improvements are huge for this museum. It’s an investment in the community, and we feel that it’s a way to spend the ARPA funds so that the community reaps the benefits for a long time to come,” said Mary Ann Porinchak, executive director of the National Packard Museum.

The total cost of the three projects combined was $87,059.
