    Person, pole hit in crash on Youngstown’s West Side

    YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a car hit a pedestrian on Youngstown’s West Side.

    It happened around 1:30 a.m. on Mahoning Avenue near North Evanston Avenue.

    Youngstown Police said the driver lost control and went off the road, hitting someone and a utility pole.

    Officers say the pedestrian and the driver of the car were taken to the hospital but are expected to be OK.

    An investigation into the crash continues.
