    Local woman indicted for selling drugs pleads guilty in federal court

    NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) — One of the seven locals indicted in October 2022 for selling drugs in Western Pennsylvania pleaded guilty in federal court Wednesday.

    Kailin Stewart, 37, pleaded guilty before Senior United States District Judge Arthur J.
    Schwab to conspiring to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl and 10 grams or more of
    fluorofentanyl between May 2021 and October 2022.

    Her sentencing is set for Jan. 8, 2025. The law provides for a total sentence of not less than five years and up to 40 years in prison, a fine of up to $5 million, or both.

    Others indicted in the case in 2022 were: Eliot Gentry, William McCree, and Teqwan Scott, all of Youngstown; Daivahn Brown, of Boardman; Donald Jeter and Donald Snowden, of New Castle.

    Gentry pleaded guilty in August and is set to be sentenced Dec. 4.

    Scott pleaded guilty in May and is set to be sentenced Oct. 1.

    Jeter also pleaded guilty in May and is set to be sentenced Sept. 24.

    Snowden pleaded guilty in Aug. 2023 and was sentenced in Jan. 2024 to 37 months in federal prison and will have served three years of probation once he is released.
