Local women’s club hosts candidate forum

CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – The Mahoning Valley Republican Women’s Club hosted a local candidate forum Wednesday night in Canfield.

Some in attendance were those running for county or state office. These candidates expanded from both Mahoning and Columbiana Counties.

Around 10 speakers got the chance to explain to voters why they were the right person for the job.

The president of the club says it’s important to get out and vote.

“We have to put things aside and just collectively get out and vote because there’s just so much on the line this year whether it’s now or on down the line,” said Allison Zwicker.

Another candidate forum will be held on October 2.
