WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Trumbull Regional Medical Center has returned to making appointments for diagnostic procedures, surgeries, outpatient treatment and testing at every location.

The information was announced on the hospital’s Facebook page.

Services were paused after it was announced that Steward Health planned to close the hospital, but that has been put on hold following an agreement with the leaseholder, Medical Properties Trust (MPT), and a prospective buyer has come forward.

A hearing in bankruptcy court in Texas is scheduled for Sept. 10 to go over the lease agreement, resolving billions of dollars in obligations for Steward hospitals.

MPT will take over operations at Trumbull Regional while potential buyers offer bids.
