ATLANTA, Ga. (WKBN) – Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback Russell Wilson has officially been ruled out for Sunday’s contest against the Atlanta Falcons.

Wilson was listed as questionable after the 35-year-old aggravated a calf injury in practice on Thursday and will now miss Week 1 due to that injury.

First-year Steeler QB Justin Fields now gets the start for the Black and Gold against the Falcons.

The 25-year-old Fields will start his first game with the franchise after being traded to Pittsburgh in the offseason.

The Steelers kickoff in Atlanta at 1 p.m. with the game airing on FOX Youngstown.
