YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A criminal complaint was filed last week in the U.S. Northern District Court of Ohio after FBI agents served a search warrant at a Vermont Avenue home investigating drug activity.

Rashad Wahid Akbar, 35, faces a count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Akbar was arraigned Thursday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Carmen E. Henderson, who ordered that he be held pending a detention hearing Wednesday in federal court.

Akbar was taken into custody after a warrant was served at the home Sept. 4, which Akbar has listed as his address, according to an affidavit that was filed with the criminal complaint.

The affidavit does not say what led agents to serve the warrant but that agents found fentanyl in a safe as well as crack cocaine and cocaine.

When the warrant was served, there were two other people at the house, the affidavit said. The affidavit said when he was questioned, Akbar told agents “Nobody has anything to do with what was found in the house, take me to county [jail].”

The affidavit also said that agents found $3,000 cash.
