Editor’s note: This report has been updated with new court record entries saying the defendant missed a court appearance due to a medical emergency.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Court records show that a medical emergency prevented a woman from showing up in court who troopers say led them on a high-speed chase in Warren.

Police say Christina Barrios did not show up for her arraignment Monday morning in Warren Municipal Court. Then, an entry said that the court received a call from the jail saying that she was transported and admitted under a medical emergency and a bond request was granted.

Troopers say Barrios was behind the wheel and almost hit one of their patrol cars on U.S. 422 near Parkman Road.

She faces several charges, including fleeing and OVI.

Brian Oehlbeck and Patty Coller contributed to this report.
