YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said police arrested a woman Monday evening for firing a gun in the parking lot of a South Side bar and that she picked up additional charges after she was combative with police at St. Elizabeth Health Center.

Tierea Jennings, 29, is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in municipal court on charges of felonious assault, a second-degree felony; and assault, a fifth-degree felony. She is presently in the Mahoning County Jail.

Jennings was arrested after police were called about 9:15 p.m. to a 1508 Glenwood Ave. bar for a report of a fight with gunfire. Reports said when they arrived, a woman told them she had been arguing with her sister, later identified as Jennings, and the two physically fought in the parking lot before Jennings pulled a gun and pointed it at the victim’s head.

The two fought some more before Jennings fired several shots in the air, reports said. Reports said several patrons managed to pry the gun away from Jennings and throw it into the woods.

Police could not find the gun, but they did find several 9mm shell casings in the parking lot, reports said.

Reports said Jennings argued with her mother while police were investigating and appeared to be very drunk. At the hospital, where she was being treated for cuts on her face, she was combative with a city police officer there which led to the assault charge, reports said.
