College and career fair to be held at Covelli Centre

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) —  A regional college and career fair is being put together to help students think about what’s ahead for them after high school.

It’s from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday at the Covelli Centre. Sixty-five schools, trade schools and post-secondary options will have tables.

The event is for students in Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana counties to make a connection. They can learn about program offerings, times to visit and even financial aid.

“A lot of the conversation is more of the general information: this is how big our institution is, these are the programs we’re kinda known for, so kinda getting the students excited giving them just a little bit about the school to hopefully give them some next steps to think about,” said Kaila Hazinakis, from Slippery Rock University.

Invitations to the College and Career Fair were sent to all students in grades 9 through 12.
