BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) – ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler is reporting that the Cleveland Browns are signing veteran tight end Geoff Swaim to the practice squad.

Swaim will provide depth at the position, with David Njoku considered week-to-week with an ankle injury.

In 2023, Swaim appeared in 14 games for the Cardinals. He caught 10 passes for 94 yards.

Prior to this time with the Cardinals, he spent time with the Titans and Jaguars. He was originally a seventh-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2015, spending four seasons in Dallas.

In 100 career games in the NFL, Swaim amassed 110 receptions for 846 yards and six touchdowns.

According to ESPN, the Browns also held a workout with tight ends Irv Smith Jr. and Tommy Sweeney.

The Browns visit the Jaguars Sunday at 1 p.m. on WKBN-27.
