WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A woman accused of providing a minor a firearm that led to an incident in Masury pleaded guilty Tuesday in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.

Tara Wiland, 45, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of attempted tampering with evidence and improperly furnishing firearms to a minor. She will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation.

Wiland and a 17-year-old were charged after police were called in April to an area of Lindberg Street where a person said that a suspect made a threat about a shooting and then ran down the street.

Police ordered the teen and Wiland out of a home on Judson Road and learned through their investigation that there had been a physical fight between Wiland and another woman. During the fight, the teen pointed a gun at a man who was also witnessing the fight and threatened to kill him, according to a police report.

Police reported finding two firearms in the house on Judson Road and took them as evidence.

Chelsea Simeon contributed to this report.
