YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Rain ruined it last week, so the Youngstown Cityscape is trying again this week.

First Fridays on Phelps Street is an event in which vendors get together downtown to sell arts and crafts and food. There’s also live music.

Special for just this Friday will be a free Chalk the Walk contest, which includes prizes.

There is a chance to win a $25 gift card to a downtown establishment. Local rotary clubs raised $4,100 for the giveaway.

“There are some wonderful prizes associated, a nice stay at DoubleTree, some nice tickets for art shows, and some gift baskets as well, so check out FirstFridaysYoungstown.org ,” said Youngstown Cityscape Program Director Adam Lee.

Organizers say they hope despite work going on near the demolished Realty building, people come out to support the city.

The event begins at 4 p.m. Friday in downtown Youngstown.
