Who are the 9/11 victims from the Valley?

(WKBN)- On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 Americans were killed and thousands of people were injured at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in Somerset County, Pennsylvania.

On that unforgettable day, five people from the Youngstown area lost their lives in the attacks.

The 9/11 Memorial & Museum website details information about the local people who passed away:

• Ruth Ellen Ketler: Ketler, 42, was born on October 31, 1958, in Grove City Pennsylvania. Ketler lived in New York City and worked at Fiduciary Trust Company International. Her name is listed at the Panel S-40 South Memorial Pool.
• Rebecca Lee Koborie : Koborie, 48, was born on August 10, 1953, in Sharon Pennsylvania. Koborie lived in Guttenberg, New Jersey, and worked at Marsh & McLennan. Her name is listed at the Panel N-4 North Memorial Pool.
• Terence Michael Lynch: Lynch , 49, was born on September 5, 1952, in Youngstown, Ohio. Lynch, an Ursuline High School and Youngstown State University alumnus lived in Alexandria, Virginia. He worked as a U.S. Army contractor. His name is listed at the Panel S-75 South Memorial Pool.
• Ludwig John Picarro : Picarro, 44, was born on April 1, 1957, in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Picarro lived in Basking Ridge, New Jersey and worked as an Aon Corporation visitor from Zurich Financial Services. His name is listed at the Panel S-63 South Memorial Pool.
• Catherine Patricia Salter: Salter , 37, was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on August 24, 1964, and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1982. Salter lived in Brooklyn, New York, and worked at Aon Corporation. Her name is listed at the Panel S-60 South Memorial Pool.
