OH WOW! to get silly with science and giant paper airplanes

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – OH WOW! is getting ready for one of its biggest events of the year.

This weekend, the children’s museum is hosting its 14th annual Silly Science Sunday. It’s at Wean Park next to the Covelli Centre.

As part of the event, they will be throwing giant paper airplanes from the Market Street bridge.

“Parking at Covelli Centre will be free. Roads are pretty much clear and open — South Avenue, Market Street, Front Street — right out front, so you shouldn’t have too many issues getting there, and then Wean Park is right next door, so a short walk to all the fun,” said Katie DeToro, executive director of OH WOW!

The event is from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

There will be food trucks and other vendors there as well as science and engineering toys for the kids.
