GIRARD, Ohio (WKBN) – The domestic violence case against Former Youngstown City Schools Dean of Students Chivas Whipple has not been resolved and will be proceeding to trial next month.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin on October 3.

Whipple is charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and criminal damaging or endangering stemming from a February incident where video showed him bashing a girl into a car. He was arrested by Liberty police.

“If for some reason there is a change of plea, we’re not going to do that on the 3rd. That’s either going to be the 30th, the 1st or the 2nd because I don’t want to call in jurors for a plea,” Visiting Judge Robert Lavery said in open court.

The Youngstown City School District did not renew Whipple’s contract which expired at the end of the last school year. He had also been the head basketball coach for East High School.

This is total bullsh!t. Parents should be able to discipline their disrespectful teenagers without having to go to trial. So if that said teenager breaks the law, the parent gets charged and goes to trial. If the parent disciplines the kid the teenager, they go to trial. The judicial system sucks, has always sucked and will always suck.
